- Dua blok dilaporkan mengalami kerosakan

Ketika warga kota sedang sibuk pulang ke rumah masing masing selepas tamat hari bekerja, satu ribut besar melanda kawasan Bangsar dan Pantai Dalam dan mengakibatkan pelbagai kerosakan harta benda.
Selain dari dahan patah menimpa kereta dan gerai serta kedai di sekitar Pantai Dalam, angin kuat ribut tersebut juga telah mengopak bumbung dua blok flat Projek Perumahan Rakyat Sri Cempaka.

Alhamdulillah Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan dan Kesejahteraan Bandar, Datuk Seri Raja Nong Chik turn padang untuk melihat kerosakan yang berlaku pada kira kira pukul 10 malam.
Setelah melihat kerosakan dan berbual dengan penduduk, YB Menteri telah memberi mereka sedikit berita gembira bahawa ada pihak yang telah setuju untuk menghulur bantuan sebanyak RM50,000 bagi kerja membaiki bumbung yang telah terbang.
Katanya duit tersebut adalah sumbangan ikhlas Beijing Enterprise Water Group. Kalau nak tahu syarikat inilah yang menjadi kontraktor utama pembinaan Pantai Sewage Treatment Plant 2, iaitu loji kumbahan najis bawah tanah pertama di Malaysia yang dijangka siap dalam tempoh empat tahun lagi.

Yang tak nampak ialah Wakil Rakyat Lembah Pantai, YB Nurul Izzah Anwar yang dikatakan sibuk menghadiri siri ceramah seluruh negara bagi membela tuduhan liwat keatas bapanya, ketua pembangkang Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Freak storm hits Bangsar area

KUALA LUMPUR: A low-cost flat in Pantai Dalam, Lembah Pantai here was badly damaged when a thunderstorm hit the units this evening.
A resident of People's Housing Project (PPR) Sri Cempaka, Misna Tamis said, the 6.30pm incident left two of its blocks severely damaged.
"It was terrifying. I was in my house and I could hear the sound of the heavy wind blowing.
"And suddenly, the roofs of the 17th floor units were flying all over the place. It hit a few of the cars and motorcycles parked on the ground floor," she said, when met at the scene.
24-year-old Mohd Izwan Abdul Rahman, who had his car wrecked by pieces of zinc that fell on his vehicle, said the incident only lasted for less than five minutes.
"It was the scariest moment in my life. My family and I were terrified when we heard loud noises coming from the outside.
"We looked outside and saw that our Isuzu Trooper was a wreck. Tree branches and pieces of roofs all have fallen on it," he said.
City Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Azizan Ismail said the department first received a distressed call from one of the residents alerting the incident at about 7.03pm.
"According to the report, a storm damaged Block E of the flats.
"Checks by our rescue team when we arrived found that 10 units' roofs were flown all over the place by the wind," he said, adding that five personnel were part of the rescue team.
Heavy rains came suddenly at about 6.30pm hailing the thunderstorms with it which lasted about an hour and a half.
